Sam's Restaurant:
Around 1952,Sam's Truck Stop was established by Sam Leverton. Open 24 hours, the business thrived on truck drivers wanting a good home cooked Kentucky meal.

Over the years, Sam's Truck Stop has evolved into a family restaurant and is better known as Sam's Restaurant. After over 40 years, a new  Sam's was built next to the original building. We, Kevin and Cindy Tipton, have been proprietors and running Sam's for over 20 years. Before that my dad, Tip owned and ran the restaurant.

Today Sam's Restaurant is well known to the local population for its good quality, well proportioned Kentucky home cooked meals. We use original recipes and are renowned for our home made cream pies and salad dressings. If you want to take a pie home for the holidays, you need to order early because the pies are in high demand with a limited supply.

The population in Georgetown is growing and Sam's Restaurant wants to grow with it.  However, we will always maintain our high standards of quality and Kentucky home cooking. Sam's Restaurant is adding new services to satisfy the wants of our customers. Things like catering Kentucky home cooked meals to any local event. In addition to catering, Sam's Restaurant is offering boxed lunches  for local businesses or any customer that cannot stay and enjoy the family friendly atmosphere in the restaurant, but still wants the Kentucky home cooking.
